Tokenisation provides new rails for success. On its own, it does not solve liquidity.
Most tokenised positions settle once and then sit still. Through partnerships with trading venues, tokens issued or safekept with Investre can reach regulated secondary markets, with their KYC and AML status carried with them.
Some investors will ask for a way out. This is the answer when they do.
Plenty of funds tokenise for the operational gains alone, and that is a complete first step. Where investors also want a route out between dealing points, this is how the fund provides one without changing its structure.
The position settles once and then sits still. The investor is locked in until maturity, or left to arrange a manual OTC deal. A connection to a regulated venue lets holders sell between dealing points.
Moving custody, fresh KYC and months of onboarding erase the speed tokenisation was supposed to deliver. Here the token reaches the venue on the rails it was issued on, with its KYC and AML status already attached.
Set against a listed security with an exit on demand, a token that cannot trade is a worse deal rather than a better one. A tradable token closes that gap and keeps the operational gains.
From issuance to a secondary trade, on the same rails.
The compliance record travels with the position, whichever venue it trades on.
The token starts on our rails, with the ownership record and the compliance status held on-chain in one place.
KYC and AML status stay attached wherever the token subsequently trades. On a permissioned standard such as ERC-3643 the status sits with the token itself; otherwise it sits with the regulated digital wallet. Either way, nothing has to be established a second time.
Investre connects to multiple trading venues, so holders reach regulated secondary markets through one connection rather than a separate integration per venue.
Settlement stays on-chain from issuance through secondary trade, both sides moving at once, on one continuous record.
What it means for issuers and holders.
For issuers, reach beyond the original subscriber base. For holders, an exit that does not depend on finding a private buyer.
Issuers find buyers beyond the original offering, without running a second one.
A holder who wants out sells at a published price, rather than asking the manager to find a counterparty for an OTC deal.
Listing on a traditional exchange means moving custody, fresh KYC and months of onboarding, which erases the speed tokenisation was meant to deliver.
A buyer’s eligibility is checked against the AML/KYC record already attached to their wallet, so a trade does not trigger a new onboarding at each venue.
The fund decides. We carry the path.
Trading venues need to be aligned with the regulatory requirements of the fund. The fund decides whether a share class becomes tradable. We carry the issuance, the compliance status attached to the token, and the settlement path.
Secondary liquidity depends on what sits beneath it.
Every investor service runs against the same on-chain register, operated by the same regulated firm. So adding one does not mean connecting another system.
Answered in advance.
Is this live today?+
Partnerships with trading venues are in place, and we are fine-tuning the connection with them. The issuance and safekeeping this depends on are live now.
Do investors need fresh KYC to trade?+
No. KYC and AML status stay attached to the wallet wherever it subsequently trades, or to the token itself on a permissioned standard such as ERC-3643. Only holders cleared for the share class can settle a purchase.
Does this make the fund listed?+
Not in the traditional sense. The share class is admitted to trading on a regulated venue, such as a DLT multilateral trading facility, rather than listed on a stock exchange as an ETF would be. The fund keeps its structure and continues to deal at NAV through its normal subscription and redemption process, alongside secondary trading.
Name the position the fund’s investors want out of.
We walk through what is live today, what is being fine-tuned, and what the share class would need either way.
