What is Investre?

Investre is a CSSF-authorised investment firm based in Luxembourg that modernises how investment products are issued, held, and distributed, using blockchain infrastructure alongside full regulatory compliance. It is not a crypto company — it's a regulated financial institution using blockchain as infrastructure, not for speculative trading.

Is Investre regulated?

Yes. Investre S.A. is authorised by the CSSF, Luxembourg's financial regulator, and operates as a Control Agent under the Blockchain IV Law framework. It also provides CSSF-authorised safekeeping and administration of financial instruments, for both traditional and digital-native products.

What are "the rails" Investre provides?

Investre covers the full journey a fund token takes: issuance, order routing, clearing and settlement, wallet infrastructure (safekeeping), and secondary market access. Like a train needing rails at every point of its route, a tokenised fund needs infrastructure at every one of these steps — Investre can provide the entire journey, or any single segment of it.

What is tokenisation?

Tokenisation means creating digital units that represent fund shares on a blockchain, in one of two ways. Non-native tokenisation mirrors an existing fund — the legal register stays off-chain, and the blockchain adds transparency and automated reconciliation on top. Digital-native issuance puts the fund directly on-chain under a regulatory framework, with the blockchain becoming the single authoritative source.

What is a Control Agent?

A Control Agent is a CSSF-authorised role, created under Luxembourg's Blockchain IV Law, responsible for creating and managing on-chain units of a digital-native fund, ensuring supply integrity, enforcing compliance rules, and verifying the custody chain. Investre is the first and currently only authorised Control Agent in Luxembourg.

Can an existing fund use Investre without re-issuing or restructuring?

Yes. Through non-native tokenisation, an existing fund's legal register stays exactly where it is. Investre creates a tokenised mirror on-chain for transparency and automated reconciliation, without requiring the fund to be re-issued.

Can a wallet hold tokens Investre didn't issue?

Yes. Investre's wallet infrastructure accepts tokens bought anywhere, not only tokens Investre itself issued. This means an investor or institution can consolidate holdings from multiple sources into a single Investre wallet, rather than needing a separate wallet per issuer.

How does compliance work at the wallet level?

Every wallet receiving tokens must be whitelisted by the issuer or Control Agent before it can transact — a smart-contract-level control that enforces eligibility rules automatically, rather than relying on manual checks after the fact.

Do you support secondary trading?

Yes, via a controlled, compliant model currently in pilot phase. A fund or its agent acts as a market maker, posting on-chain quotes with smart-contract-driven pricing and settlement through Investre's DvP framework, giving investors continuous liquidity without operating a multilateral trading venue.

Is Investre a Transfer Agent itself?

No. Investre connects to existing Transfer Agent networks via sub-custodians, so existing TA relationships stay intact while gaining blockchain-based transparency on top.

How is a Control Agent different from a Transfer Agent?

Investre doesn't replace a fund's existing Transfer Agent or service providers. The Control Agent gives a single, on-chain source of truth for unit creation, supply integrity, and compliance — something existing providers connect to, not compete with.

Who is Investre suitable for?

For issuers and asset managers: traditional funds wanting digital efficiency, managers launching digital-native funds, funds exploring secondary liquidity models, and firms needing real-time transparency and automated reconciliation. For investors: retail and professional investors using Moniflo, and distributors needing a unified digital gateway.

Do banks and distributors need their own wallet infrastructure?

Not necessarily. Most banks and distributors have no wallet infrastructure and no near-term plan to build one, since tokens can't be booked into classical accounting systems like SAP the way securities are. Investre can open and operate wallet accounts on their behalf instead.
