Cookie Notice

This Cookie Notice explains how InvesTRe S.A. and Moniflo (““InvesTRe S.A”;”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on:

  • its websites and digital services including our applications (the “Website”); and
  • its proprietary mobile applications such as Moniflo (the “Apps”).

It describes what cookies are, which categories we use, and how you can manage your preferences.

This Cookies Notice complements and forms part of our Privacy Notice.

For full details on how we process personal data more generally — including legal bases, recipients, international transfers, security measures, retention periods and your data protection rights — please refer to our Privacy Notice.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone or tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences and improve functionality and performance.

Depending on their configuration, cookies may collect information that can be considered personal data.

2. Who is the controller of the processing of your personal data

InvesTRe S.A. acts as the data controller for the operation of the Website and for cookies that are necessary for its functioning.

Some cookies and similar technologies are implemented using tools provided by external service providers (for example social media or advertising partners such as Facebook or Google). Depending on the technology used, these providers may process certain information for their own purposes and may act as independent or joint data controllers under their own privacy policies – see section 4.a. below. We select these providers carefully and ensure appropriate contractual safeguards.

3. How we use cookies?

We use cookies to:

  • ensure the Website functions properly and securely,
  • remember your preferences,
  • analyse Website usage and performance,
  • improve user experience, and
  • where you consent, provide marketing or advertising features.

We apply data minimisation and only use cookies that are necessary for the stated purposes.

4. Categories of cookies?

1. By domain

Cookies can be distinguished based on the domain that places them on your device.

First-party cookies are cookies placed and stored directly by InvesTRe or by third-party scripts operating on our behalf on the Website domain. They are generally used to enable core functionality, remember preferences and support analytics relating to the use of our services. Certain first-party storage entries are written by third-party scripts operating on our domain. In these cases, the data may also be accessed or processed by the relevant third-party provider under their own privacy policy.

Third-party cookies are cookies placed by external service providers through our Website. These providers may collect information directly from your device and may process that information under their own privacy policies.

2. By purpose and legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation, security and accessibility of the Website. Without these cookies, certain functionalities may not be available.

They do not require consent and cannot be disabled via our cookie banner.

These cookies do not store any personally identifying information and cannot be deactivated.

Examples: session management, security, consent storage.

Non-essential cookies

Non-essential cookies, which can also be considered optional cookies, are not strictly necessary for our Website to provide information or a service expressly requested by you.

This means that InvesTRe S.A. must obtain your prior consent before storing or reading such cookies.

If you refuse non-essential cookies, the Website will remain accessible, but certain features, personalisation or analytics capabilities may be limited.

3. By storage technology

The technologies listed in this Cookie Notice may store information on your device using different browser storage mechanisms. While the term “cookies” is used throughout this Cookie Notice for simplicity, some technologies operate through alternative browser storage method.

Browser cookies are small text files placed on your device and used by your web browser. They are sent automatically to the server with each request and have a defined expiry date. Cookies can be either:

  • Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — stored on your device until their expiry date is reached or until you delete them manually.

HTML Local Storage allows websites to store data directly on your device without sending it to the server automatically. Unlike cookies, Local Storage has no built-in expiry date. Data stored this way remains on your device until it is explicitly deleted by the website or by you clearing your browser data.

IndexedDB is a browser-based database used to store larger volumes of structured data on your device. Like Local Storage, it is not transmitted to the server and has no expiry date. It persists until explicitly deleted.

Local Storage and IndexedDB entries that are non-essential are subject to the same onsent requirements as cookies under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. InvesTRe S.A. applies the same consent framework to all storage technologies listed in this Cookie Notice.

Cookies are a browser-based technology and apply only to websites accessed via a web browser.

Certain features within the Apps may open external web pages in a browser environment, for example:

  • onboarding through Finologee-KYC manager,
  • support forms via Typeform,

When you are redirected to such pages:

  • those websites may use their own cookies,
